Construction

The first business in Mackenzie (1964 – 1966) was Ernie Bodin’s Morfee Lake Services.  Ernie Bodin provided fuel and ran a cafe in the area where the Fish & Game Club gun range is located today.  Ernie had both the first  private business and the first non-company house in town.

Oct 1965 construction of Alexandra Forest Industries    A-mill crane shed.  Parsnip River in the foreground looking northeast towards Morfee Mountain.

Summer 1968  Mackenzie’s water tower and Little Mac Ski Hill.  First portable school house is now the Ski Chalet.
